Whjat say you?Who appointed Federal Judge Laurence Silberman and did he make the right decision on the Parker Case?
Yes, he made the right decision.

It was a long time coming and should have been made in a Federal Court years ago.

The Parker Case, Judge Silberman ruled, supported the concept that the Second Amendment gave Individuals the right to keep and bear arms for any purpose including Hunting, Plinking Target Shooting and self defense which includes Resistance to private lawlessness or the depredations of a tyrannical government or foreign invasion.

He made it clear that it is an individual right rather than a collective right and that it had nothing to do with a Militia or a National Guard.

He also made it clear that the Constitution does not ';grant'; any Civil Rights but only affirms and protects those rights that existed prior to the time that the Constitution was written.Who appointed Federal Judge Laurence Silberman and did he make the right decision on the Parker Case?
He was appointed by President Reagan in October 1985. For commentary on the Parker case, see
